Celebrating Our Success in the ZERO Waste Challenge!
As you know our school was one of only twelve across Northern Ireland selected to participate in the prestigious ZERO Waste Challenge. This initiative has been a valuable opportunity for our pupils to engage with sustainability and environmental responsibility in a meaningful way.
Recently, we attended a celebration event at the Ardhowen Theatre, where we were honoured with a certificate of participation. As a special recognition, we were also gifted a handcrafted planter, a bird box, and a bat box—each made from trees that were felled during Storm Eowyn. These beautiful and symbolic gifts will serve as lasting reminders of our commitment to protecting the environment.
The organisers of the project were full of praise for the St Náile’s pupils.
