P6 enjoyed a Shared Education visit to the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh yesterday with Florencecourt PS, St. Mary's PS Killesher and St. Mary's PS Mullymesker as part of the Shared History funding. They embarked on a journey across the centuries and the Atlantic Ocean, recreating the epic story of Irish emigration from Ulster to America and beyond. The children explored what life was like in Ireland in the 1800s, from housing to schooling and work. In between their emigration journey, at lunchtime, they enjoyed a trip to the Visitor's Centre to choose a treat! An historic adventure was had by all!
