Today, P6 and P7 visited the newly restored Enniskillen Workhouse and the Famine Graveyard as part of their learning about the Irish Famine. They were brought on a tour by expert, Catherine Scott and had an unforgettable experience seeing original artefacts on display, and hearing emotive and compelling stories about local people connected to the historic place. The visit gave the children a deep appreciation of the significance of the Workhouse.
