P5 & P6 Museum Trip – Discovering Life During WWII

18th Nov 2025

Mrs McConnell’s class had an incredible day at the museum, diving deep into the history of World War II. The visit brought their learning to life as they explored what everyday life was like during the war.

They discovered how families coped with evacuation, sending children to the countryside for safety, and learned about rationing, where even basic foods were limited. One of the highlights was seeing authentic gas masks and a fascinating collection of military uniforms worn by soldiers during the conflict.

The museum’s exhibits helped them understand the challenges people faced and the resilience they showed during this difficult time. It was an unforgettable experience that made history feel real and meaningful for everyone.
