Our P5/6 children had a fantastic final session in the Northern Ireland Resource Network (NIRN) Zero Waste Programme, exploring Tackling Textiles.
They learned all about the impact of overconsumption and textile waste, and learned about basic sewing skills and discovering the value of repairing rather than replacing.
The idea of visible mending really inspired the children, helping them see clothing repair as something creative and positive.
A fun, thoughtful, and empowering session—well done everyone!
